FAQ
-
When will my uniteddomains.com account be migrated to united-domains.de?
The migration is scheduled to begin 1st December 2025.
-
How will my UD.com account be migrated? Is there anything I need to do?
If your UD.com account is based in a country we can serve and does not match an existing united-domains.de account, your UD.com account information will be automatically migrated to united-domains.d on the migration date. This migration will include the migration of your domains, your account information (like your name, address and phone number), and your payment method on file.
Once we’ve set up your account you will receive an email from us with a link to create your password. Once you've done that, your new account will be all set for migration to united-domains.de.
Please do not create an account at united-domains.de by yourself in preparation for the migration, as it will interfere with the migration process.
-
Will my login details remain the same?
Your account's login email address will not be changed, but your password will not be carried over. Closer to the migration date you can expect to receive an email with a link to set a password for your united-domains.de account.
-
I have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled for my UD.com account. Will this remain in place after my account migrates to united-domains.de?
No. You will need to set up two-factor authentication once your united-domains.de account is activated. You will be able to do this once you’ve created your united-domains.de account password and logged in for the first time.
-
Will my united-domains.de account be in English?
Yes, even though united-domains.de’s website is primarily in German, the united-domains.de account portfolio has an English option so that you can easily navigate the control panel and access the features you need. The united-domains.de website currently does not have an English option implemented, but we will be providing our customers English-translated versions of all relevant terms and conditions so that you can be fully informed prior to the migration.
-
I received an email saying that my UD.com account can’t be migrated to united-domains.de because it is based in a country that united-domains can no longer serve. What do I need to do?
If your account is based in a country that we can no longer serve and you are able to provide a valid, accurate address in a country that we can serve, you must update your UD.com account with this new address and contact us at support@uniteddomains.com before 1st December to confirm your account’s eligibility for migration.
If you are not able to provide an alternate address, your best option to ensure you don’t lose your domains would be to transfer them to another domain registrar before their expiration dates arrive. While each domain registration in your account will remain active until its next arriving expiration date, it will not be possible to renew or restore it if it expires.
To transfer your domain, please first log in to your UD.com account, then click the Get Authcode button to your domain’s right. When the code appears, the domain will also be unlocked for transfer. Next, simply copy the auth code down and provide it to your preferred new registrar. They will be able to place the request and walk you through the next steps.

What if I don’t have an address in a country that you can serve?
Of course you would be required to update to an address that represents a true, valid, and legitimate way to contact you in a country that we can serve. If this is not possible, then the only option to keep your domain registration active would be for you to transfer it before its expiration date. I'll be happy to assist you with that process.
While your domain registration will remain active until its next arriving expiration date, it will expire at that point without any possibility to renew or restore it. We strongly recommend transferring your domain name well before its expiration date arrives, to ensure that your registration remains active.

I received an email saying that my account cannot be migrated because it matches an existing account at united-domains.de. What should I do?
Please contact us at support@uniteddomains.com before 1st December 2025 for assistance with migrating your uniteddomains.com-registered domains to your united-domains.de account.
-
Can I opt out of migrating my account?
Yes. You can opt out of the migration by contacting support@uniteddomains.com before 1st December 2025.
While you are of course free to opt out of migrating your account to united-domains.de, we caution that your contract at UD.com will be canceled on 1st December. At that point it will no longer be possible to renew your domain names, register new domains, or otherwise access UD.com’s services in any way. While your domains' registrations will remain active until their next arriving expiration date, but it will not be possible to renew or restore them. Of course, you will still be able to access your domains’ auth codes so that you can transfer them to another registrar, before they expire which we would strongly recommend.
If you wish to opt out of migrating your account to united-domains.de, please contact support@uniteddomains.com before 1st December 2025.
